Job Description
The Treatment Coordinator is responsible for:
- Participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by ensuring that patients understand why they need the diagnosed treatment.
- Assist patients through the completion of dental treatment, ensuring they come in and out in a comfortable manner and are satisfied with the dental office.
- Discuss the patient's current dental conditions in everyday language. Educate the patient on the possible courses of action for treatment prescribed by the dentist.
- Always promote the best dentistry possible. Explain the fees for the services and available payment options.
- Obtain a financial commitment for the treatment plan.
- Be the financial expert by showing all patients how they CAN afford the dentistry.
- Develop expertise in selling and closing financial arrangements.
- Ensure that the doctor follows routine procedure for case presentations and that the health history, diagnosis, and treatment notes are signed.
- Ensure the doctor meets or exceeds his/her daily and monthly production goal by learning to overcome the common patient objections/rejections.
- Always look at how you can make that patient's appointment as productive as possible. Patient Coordinator. Look at opportunities for all patients. Check for hygiene needs

- Consistently communicate with assigned doctors and management regarding goals and responsibilities.
Experience:
QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION
REQUIRED: Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or customer service training; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
DESIRABLE: College degree or considerable coursework or on-the-job training in the dental or insurance fields. Knowledge of QSI software applications.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of QSI software applications, and use of standard office equipment (e.g., telephones, copiers, facsimiles, calculators).
- Ability to read and understand documents such as insurance forms, safety rules, operating and/or maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, staff, vendors, or other members of the business community. - Ability to draw valid conclusions, apply sound judgment in making decisions, and to make decisions
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and ratios.
